Agnico Eagle has thrown its support behind a new paediatric play space to be developed at the Bendigo hospital precinct.
The outdoor play space will be created for children treated by Bendigo Health’s rehabilitation services and in the new Clinical Services Campus.
Bendigo Health Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Sarah McAdie said the space will support children in our region undergoing rehabilitation
“More than 100 children are treated by our rehabilitation teams at any one time and this play space will offer paediatric patients a fun and appealing environment,” she said.
“There is no other available play space within the hospital precinct nor a dedicated facility in our region, where children can safely engage with therapists during their rehabilitation sessions,” Ms McAdie said.
Agnico Eagle’s Vice President Operations Australia, Ion Hann said Agnico was proud to support such an important project through its Community Partnership Program.
“Our children in our region deserve the best rehabilitation facilities and this is just a small way we can contribute to that. We are pleased to deepen our ties with Bendigo Health, who is a tremendous community partner,” Mr Hann said.
