From today the therapeutic gardens adjacent to Bendigo Health’s main entrance will recognise contributions made by local mining company Agnico Eagle through a plaque dedication.
Bendigo Health’s Director of Fundraising & Foundation, Rachel Mason, said the area to now be known as the Agnico Eagle Therapeutic Gardens is a popular space for staff and hospital visitors and has been recognised in multiple landscape awards.
“This stunning area is a testament to the vision of the landscape designer and the regular work put in by gardeners from Downer who maintain the space with the support of Exemplar Health.” she said.
“It is fitting that this space should honour the contribution Agnico Eagle makes through Bendigo Health Fundraising & Foundation to support Cancer Wellness Services, including helping to securethe long-term future of the Gobbé Wellness Centre.”
