The community-led Bendigo Ford Fun Run will be hitting the streets of Bendigo on Sunday 6 March 2022, with all proceeds to support the Children’s Ward at Bendigo Health.
Rosalind Events is the team behind the Fun Run and we recently shared with them how the funds raised will help local kids to receive more treatments closer to home and their loves ones, like three-year old Amy.
"When my three year old daughter Amy was diagnosed with Leukaemia, we spent many months transporting her in and out of hospital for treatment which initially started in Melbourne.
It was life changing when Amy was able to undergo treatment closer to home at Bendigo Health, we are so thankful to all the staff in the children’s ward for their care and compassion during such a difficult time.
Amy has two other siblings and being able to keep our family together throughout this challenge has been so important. After 26 months of intensive care treatment, we were so relieved when Amy was given the all clear and could finally ring the bell to signify her recovery. – Sandi Lane, Amy’s mother.
Events on offer at the Bendigo Ford Fun Run include:
- 1km Kids Dash
- 5km Fun Run / Walk
- 10km Fun Run
- Half Marathon (21.1km)
- 1km four-leg Relay.
