The 2020 Bendigo Health Christmas Appeal has raised more than $80,000 for paediatric rehabilitation equipment.
The funds were raised through individual donations and corporate support to improve the quality of life for children in the Loddon Mallee region.
The donations will help establish a permanent therapy space for children in Bendigo Health’s new paediatric rehabilitation area.
Bendigo Health Manager of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Wendy Millar thanked the community for their contributions.
“This has allowed us to dream about what is possible to best support our paediatric patients through their rehabilitation,” Ms Millar said.
The total tally raised was $84,938 – a significant amount during a difficult year for the region.
Bendigo Health Fundraising and Foundation Manager, Rachel Mason thanked supporters and sponsors, especially Bendigo Bank for their efforts.
“It’s an amazing effort and it shows what we are capable of when we come together as a community,” Ms Mason said.
“These new facilities and equipment will be life changing for children in our region.”
