An incredible $277,277 was raised for Bendigo Health’s Cancer Wellness Program at the second annual McKean McGregor Community Gala Ball on the weekend, surpassing the estimates made on the night.
Bendigo Health Director, Fundraising & Foundation Rachel Mason said Bendigo Health was overwhelmed by the generosity of our community.
“We are so proud of the result and being able to work with McKean McGregor on this community-led fundraising event,” she said.
“Every dollar raised will go directly to help local cancer patients access complementary therapies including a new counselling service established through last year’s event and an expansion of the program which has outgrown its current site.”
Mrs Mason thanked McKean McGregor for their leadership in delivering this event, along with their commitment to raise vital funds for our Cancer Wellness Program.
McKean McGregor CEO Todd Brown praised his passionate team for putting on the June 17 event where 950 people attended.
“We are thrilled to be able to contribute in such a meaningful way to the Cancer Wellness Program and our team have thoroughly enjoyed being involved. To achieve this figure in year two is quite astounding,” he said.
