For 46 years, the Intensive Care Auxiliary has been dedicated to supporting Intensive and Critical Care at Bendigo Health. Since its establishment, the Auxiliary has raised over $2 million to purchase essential equipment and provide comfort items for patients. This incredible contribution has helped improve patient care and outcomes within the unit.

The Intensive Care Auxiliary are proud to announce through recent funds raised they have purchased a Bladder Scanner, a vital addition to the Intensive Care Unit. This piece of equipment plays a crucial role in patient care by avoiding the need for invasive procedures and devices, making it a safer option for patients and providing instantaneous feedback on kidney function, allowing for faster intervention when necessary.

This state-of-the-art equipment will enhance the care provided to critically ill patients, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate treatment.

Beyond funding essential equipment, the Auxiliary has also supported the professional development of nurses. They have helped fund training for over 40 nurses, enabling them to advance their skills in Critical Care nursing.
