Bendigo Health is excited to launch the 2024 Move for Mental Health Challenge to support an Exercise & Wellbeing Program specifically designed for regional mental health patients.
Since its inception in 2020, Move for Mental Health – a virtual fitness and fundraising challenge for all abilities – has raised over $270,000 to improve wellbeing and recovery outcomes of mental health patients throughout the Loddon Mallee region.
Bendigo Health’s Mental Health Clinical Director, Phil Tune said the initiative has allowed the organisation to deliver new exercise programs, establish an on-site gym, provide sensory modulation tools and purchase a patient transport bus to support local mental health patients.
“With the support of the community and valued sponsors, the Move for Mental Health virtual challenge has improved the wellbeing and recovery outcomes of mental health patients across the Loddon Mallee region.
“I encourage everyone to get involved and register for this great challenge as all funds raised stay local and help members of our community.”
This virtual fitness and fundraising challenge is for people of all abilities and lets you set your exercise goals. You can walk, run, dance, ride or wheel your way to your fitness and fundraising goals – the choice is yours. All money raised will go to improving mental health services in the Loddon Mallee region and providing specialised exercise programs for mental health patients.
